A British witness at Hemel Hempstead reported watching a triangular-shaped object under 500 feet with an invested, lit-up dome, according to testimony in Case 89653 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The event occurred beginning at 3:35 a.m. on January 17,2018.

“A bright light came through bedroom curtain,” the witness stated. “A triangular vehicle was spotted gliding in a straight line. Underneath the vehicle was an inverted, lit dome virtually touching the three sides. The inverted dome had arched ribs from bottom to top with a center pillar projecting a bright light.”

The witness said he had a perfect view of the object until it disappeared over nearby buildings.

“My first reaction was it was a strange plane out of Luton Airport, then immediately realized it was not a normal aircraft.”

United Kingdom Assistant National Director Michael Price closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

“Having reviewed the information this case provides me with a somewhat difficult assessment to make,” Price wrote in his report. “The witness is an aircraft enthusiast and being one myself I know how accurately we can identify known aircraft both civilian and military with a lot of accuracy even in the dark. This for me rules out mis-identification of a known aircraft and type.

“The second interesting point to note is the descriptive of the central light not only in its shape and luminosity but also the fact that it was clear enough for the witness to notice that it almost touched the three sides of the triangle. The arched ribs descriptive is very interesting with a central pillar of light. I have heard this described before by whistle-blowers out of AREA 51 and Lockheed that state that bright light given off is plasma charging through the anti-gravity drive which could have a wave expulsion pattern similar to a black hole forcing out light from the top and bottom of the center. This could explain the pillar of light observed with the arched ribs providing the skeleton for the plasma charge containment.

“Without any additional evidence or secondary observed sighting, it is difficult to investigate further but I think based on the short description what was viewed was either a known AV (TR3B or Aurora project) or an Unknown Aerial Vehicle of ETV classification. I have classified the case as UAV in the absence of any reliable identification of TR3B or Aurora military craft.”

Hemel Hempstead is a town in Hertfordshire, England, located 24 miles northwest of London, population 94,932.

​An Arizona witness at Buckeye reported watching a circle-shaped object moving under 1,000 feet at high velocity that made no noise, according to testimony in Case 93454 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The incident occurred when the reporting witness and his wife were setting up a telescope in a local park on a full moon at 11:15 p.m. on June 28, 2018.

“Before the telescope was fully set up, a vertically-aligned, donut-ringed object with yellow-orange light/surface appeared below the moon traveling from southeast to northwest at extremely high velocity and low altitude, roughly 500-1000 feet AGL,” the witness stated. “The object made absolutely no sound but at closest approach was within one mile of our vantage point/location.”

The witness is a United States Air Force veteran and Special Operations intelligence analyst who previously held a top-secret with caveats clearance.

“I can say I witnessed a craft to which I have no explanation or knowledge of existing yet can’t explain what my wife and I saw that night. It traveled approximately 50 miles across the sky at low altitude within 15 seconds and yet made no noise. I tried to capture the object on my phone that was in my pocket but was unable to do so in the five seconds it took me to grab my phone due to its extremely high velocity and short observation time.”

Arizona Field Investigator Lisa Carol Bradford closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

“This reporting witness has an extensive military background in the Air Force,” Bradford stated in her report. “His experience includes Special Operations and Operations Command Intelligence. I feel the information he has provided was credible as well as the information given from his wife. Both parties seem level headed and intelligent. No photos or evidence was provided, however, the descriptions provided were clear. A jet engine flare was considered as a possible explanation for this sighting, however, the speed of this object was reported to be 12,000 mph. and was silent. The object appeared out of nowhere, traveled horizontally, then disappeared instantly. Although Luke AFB is 17 miles away, the object’s maneuvers and appearance reported would not be consistent with that of military training or military aircraft.”
 
Buckeye is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, population 62,582.

A Canadian witness at Joliette reported watching a “non-symmetrical” object that hovered, turned and disappeared, according to testimony in Case 92792 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving to work at 7:10 a.m. on June 19, 2018, when the event occurred.

“Really blue sky, not a single cloud,” the witness stated. “I checked the sky thinking it was a plane, but it was stationary. It was metallic and very reflective. It had a weird shape, asymmetrical. I thought to myself: ‘’What is that?’ And then it made a light spin on itself and then it vanished, like when it was turning itself on, the movement was like facing a piece of paper, and then when you turn it, you don’t see it cause it’s so flat. It was a bit like that. It was bigger than a small plane and very stationary, very metallic.”

When turning, the object disappeared.

“I was checking the sky two or three minutes in that area after, and never saw it again. It’s impossible. It really was a solid object in the sky, solid, reflective, a bit like a plane, but planes don’t disappear like that. I made a drawing of the shape and size in the sky. It’s really hard to explain the shape. It was standing straight, right side was flat, and the left side was curvy a bit like the number three in reverse.”

Canadian Field Investigator Allen Des Roches closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

“The staff of the Joliette Airport (northwest and clear sky) confirms to me that it could have landings or takeoffs at the time of the observation. Is not a plane or a drone. The object looks flat and is silvery and transparent in color, stationary and reflecting, then turns abruptly and disappears.”

A Colorado witness at Colorado Springs reported watching five low-flying objects hover and move around their home for more than an hour, according to testimony in Case 92568 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The incident began about 10:30 p.m. on June 7, 2018.

“My daughter and I went outside to smoke a cigarette, and we like to look at the night sky anyway,” the reporting witness stated. “We have seen objects in the sky off and on for months now anyway.”

The two were standing by a back door when they looked to their right and noticed a larger and brighter light hovering over the tree tops across the street, and then another one that was not as bright higher and to the right of the first.

“Then we saw another one start moving right over us in a straight line, no noise, and in a complete straight line until it stopped over by our back yard, where it stopped, and hovered. There was also one that stopped over our heads, made no noise, and hovered there. And one more that was a little distance away from the one hovering over us and it also sat in the sky.”

All the crafts had a small extension on the bottom.

“But only two shined brighter, and one was giving off red and white colors. We watched for about 15 minutes, put the dog inside, and watched for a few more minutes, and then went in our home.”

The two stepped back outside about 45 minutes later and three of the objects were still there.

“My daughter tried to video, but when it didn’t come out very well as it was so dark outside, she deleted it before I could stop her. We were not afraid and did not feel threatened. We were also not surprised as I have seen craft since I was a kid. And since moving from Denver to Pueblo a couple of years ago we have seen craft numerous times, especially when we lived in Pueblo West. We saw craft all the time over the reservoir.”

A Mississippi witness at Panola County reported watching a cylinder-shaped object hovering over a local church that seemed to cause nausea, according to testimony in Case 92469 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The event occurred at 6:45 a.m. on June 3, 2018.

“I was heading to pick up my girlfriend from work,” the witness stated. “I taking was the back way through town to avoid red lights. On my way I passed by a church. I saw it in the sky above the church and thought it was my eyes at first because it was early in the morning. But I stopped at a nearby stop sign and looked back to make sure it wasn’t my eyes. And it was still there hovering over the church.”

The witness described the movement of the object.

“It shifted slightly to the side and then shot straight up with more speed than anything I’ve ever seen. There was cloud cover, but it made no disturbance to the clouds as it vanished into them afterwards.”

The witness experienced an illness following the event.

“I have been having unusual ringing in my ears and sickness to my stomach.”

A New York witness at Springville reported driving away from a hovering “saucer-like flying object” as the vehicle’s radio cut out, according to testimony in Case 92447 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on June 3, 2018.

“Initially thought lights were dim stars or a star covered with clouds,” the witness stated. “Realized lights were too close to ground. Lights pulsated and appeared to be on the outside of a saucer-like, flying object.”

The object appeared to affect the vehicle’s electronics.

“Radio cut out as I was driving in the direction of object and got closer. Made me fearful. Thankfully, I had to turn to get home which took me away from where the object was hovering. I turned and did not look back.”

​New York MUFON Field Investigator Christopher DePerno closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.​

“The witness described the object as being ‘huge,’ about the size of an acre,” DePerno stated in his report. “The witness then said the object’s lights began pulsating as if to get her attention. The witness then said her car radio stopped working. She explained that this has never happened before. She did explain that the rest of the vehicle’s functions continued working.

“The witness became gripped with fear. She explained she was extremely frightened as the lights now began pulsating, changing color from white to red. The pulsating lights were moving from front to back and then continued this way. The witness continued driving. The witness then noticed from the windshield of her vehicle, the object rapidly move a very short distance from west to east. The object then started moving south away from her. At the same time, the witness attempted to use her cell phone. She discovered that her cell phone had no service. The witness continued driving and after a couple of minutes the cell phone service returned. The witness said she has traveled this road several times and knows where the dead spots are and that area is not one of them.

“The entire incident lasted five minutes.The weather at the time of the incident was clear and nothing interfering with the sighting. No airports are within 30 miles in the area of the incident. No military bases in the area.”

Springville is a village in the southeast part of the town of Concord in Erie County, New York, population 4,596.

​A Montana witness near Great Falls reported that a contact on the Malmstrom Air Force Base described a 10-minute power outage after a circular-shaped object “over a half-acre in size” hovered over the base,” according to testimony in Case 89785 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The event occurred on January 24, 2018.

“My base contact described the object only as black,” the reporting witness stated. “If contacted, Malmstrom AFB will confirm the power outage but nothing more. Investigators are on their way. Last sighting was in May 2017. This source is reliable and confirmed as am I.”
The witness describes himself as a retired police detective “not given to exaggerations.”

The filed report indicates the object was black in color with no structural features. The object size was larger than 300 feet. No exterior lights. No emissions. The object was hovering at less than 500 feet in altitude. The object was over one mile away from the witness. No landing was observed.

MUFON CAG Investigator Marie Cisneros and Montana State Director John Gagnon closed this case as Information Only.

Investigators contacted the media relations department at Malmstrom and did not receive a reply.

“Ruled out for astronomical or weather anomalies,” Cisneros and Gagnon stated in their report. “Ruled out for bolides or fireball activity. Ruled out for obvious hoax.

“Our conclusion: Unidentified object. Size, shape, flight pattern and path does not fit with known conventional aircraft. Because this was reported by someone other than the witness, this case has to be filed as an Information Only unless further information is forthcoming by the witness.”

Malmstrom Air Force Base is in Cascade County, Montana, adjacent to Great Falls. It is the home of the 341st Missile Wing (341 MW) of the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). As a census-designated place, it has a population of 3,472.

An Indiana witness at Leo recalled a UFO encounter from 2013 after taking an unusual route to her night shift work along a dark country road, according to testimony in Case 95295.

The witness was driving to work just after 10:15 p.m. on June 7, 2013, moving between Leo and Fort Wayne.

“Going down my usual route, I suddenly and abruptly made a sharp turn down a dark country road I never take to work,” the witness stated. “I wondered why I turned, so mindlessly and quickly. Instead of simply looking for a place to turn around, I decided to continue and take the totally different and longer route to work.”

The witness soon sped up to about 50-60 mph, so she would not be late to work.

“Shortly after turning down this road and starting to speed down it, I passed a line of trees or chunk of dark woods that ended like a wind break. After I passed them, to my right, I immediately saw floating, hovering, an honest-to-God-looking UFO style craft.”

The witness slammed on her brakes and made a dead stop in the road.

“I stared at it trying to understand in my mind what it really was – thinking what it could besides a UFO. I’m not sure how long this lasted but maybe a minute. Enough time for me to go through the possibilities in my head and be awestruck by its structure and make note of it.”
The witness said she was shocked.

“Looked like a comic book UFO but in real life. Just above the tree tops level was the bottom. Under the craft was an open area, no trees or homes. A larger, newer mansion-style home was to the left of the craft. The trees to the right of it. The craft appeared to be similar in size to the mansion. Adjacent to the road not back as far as the house. The house was close to this thing beside and in front of it.”

The witness realized that if she screamed or honked, the house was close enough that they would have heard her. There were lights on inside and outside the home.

“The craft had green lights and white lights, and I recall blue to it. And as I looked closely, there appeared to be like a line of windows around the middle top portion. Possible figures or shadows behind the windows. It was a smooth, dark, shiny metal. It had no wings. Lights under it. Lights around the middle part. The smaller bubble on the larger bubble-type comic book style craft body. Hard to explain, but I could draw it. Made no noise. Just hoovered silently.”

While she stared at the object, she reached over to the passenger seat to grab her phone, tucked inside her purse.

“I was digging in my purse blindly. I never took my eyes off the craft. All the contents of my purse fell to the floor. Then I began scrambling for the phone, reaching down to feel for it on the floor. Still looking at the craft as it was rising up.”

As she tried to locate her phone, the craft slowly began to rise 90-degrees straight up into the sky.

“Still could be seen good. When I had my phone in my hand, it then immediately started to float faster towards the right and then shot across the sky like a shooting star, streaked white towards the right of the sky and disappeared in a second. It left the streak line for a second behind it and was gone.”

The woman soon posted to my personal Facebook on June 7 at 10:56 p.m. about it soon after arriving at work just after clocking in.

“I played it off as a strange plane but did somewhat describe it. When someone commented UFO, I continued to play it off as a plane, so people wouldn’t think I was crazy. Also, I felt kind of terrified to give all the details out. I felt like I was guided and somehow entrusted to see it, but it didn’t want me to take a picture. So, I felt uneasy really sharing the details and played it off. I did tell my close co-worker nurse about the event in detail that night because I knew she wouldn’t think I was crazy, and she wouldn’t say anything. She believed me. I told some close family too.”

But the witness recently wondered about it.

“I brought it up to people who I told, who say they don’t remember me telling them about it. Some do, but the memory is vague to them – as if it was an insignificant thing.”

Telepathy has a running history in the study of UFOs when witnesses testify they communicate with non-human entities without speaking. Eleven of the 241 cases logged into the recently-released book, UFO Cases of Interest, from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), include testimony the witness communicated or somehow interacted with the object.

Some describe telepathy, others intuition, the ability to summon a craft, or where the object reacts to the witness in some way.

Testimony varies and includes reports like this first case in January 2017 when the witness suggests the object was “summoned.”

A Mississippi witness at Canton reported watching and videotaping a group of “glowing, hovering orbs,” according to testimony in Case 81498.

The witness was standing outside talking to a neighbor at 1:21 p.m. on January 9, 2017.

“I saw this orb start flying around,” the witness stated. “It disappeared. Then when it reappeared, it came back with 15 more. It swirled above us for a few seconds and then disappeared.”

The witness says this is the second time she has seen UFOs and that she had summoned them.

“I know how to do it. The first time I did it, I saw the orbs, but then they morphed into a bird-like creature with white bodies and black tipped wings but continued to glow. They swirled above me and my neighbor, flew into a formation and then disappeared.”

Mississippi MUFON Field Investigator Richard Hoffman investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown-Other.

​And in this January case, the witness was talking about a previous UFO case when the object appeared.

A Maine witness at Orrington reported watching two, silent, low flying, triangle-shaped objects, according to testimony in Case 82502.

The event occurred on Friday, January 13, 2017, beginning at 11:19 p.m.

“We left the Brewer Walmart around 10:50 right before they closed at 11 and we headed back towards Orrington. We were heading up the Brewer Lake Road and went around an ‘S’ turn and we had noticed these red lights down the road above the dam on the lake.”

The group was not far from the Bangor International Airport.

“So, it didn’t seem like there was anything unusual about something like that; it looked like it was just beyond the dam and it was flying parallel to the road. It looked like it could have been a plane coming in. But there was something unusual about it, so when we saw it, I started talking about, I swear, how I saw a UFO the previous January.”

The group continued to drive down the road closer to the object.

“I’m still talking about the UFO. It was like it heard me talking about UFOs because this triangular silhouette went from being far off the road and fairly high in the air (500 – 700 feet) to swooping in very close probably 400 feet off the road and 200 feet high.”

Maine MUFON State Director Valerie Schultz investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown.

Then there are the cases where the witness sees an object, and “commands” it do something.

A California witness at Santa Rosa reported watching a bright ball of light that ejected two objects, according to testimony in Case 82613.

The witness and friends went to a local high school for skateboarding on March 9, 2017.

“As we were skating around on a blacktop, a very bright light caught my attention,” the witness stated. “At first I just thought that it was Venus being magnified by the atmosphere as it was so low on the horizon and it was not obviously moving. After a minute of me continuing to skate, I looked at it again and I realized it was not in the same place that it was. Then it became obvious that it was moving.”
The witness described the object.

“It had no blinking lights and was much, much brighter than a plane or helicopter, with no sound whatsoever. I brought my two other friend’s attention to the object. It slowly moved across the sky and then at the point in which it seemed to be centered in our view, it slowed significantly.”

The witness felt as though he was communicating with the object.

“This happened within seconds of me asking, in my mind, for the object to do something to make it even more obvious that it was of otherworldly origin. This made be under the impression that this object was aware of me and my friends observing it. We continued to watch it as it continued its average speed again and then its path seemed to change from a perpendicular one to a diagonal path away from us. As the object was moving away, and we’re still watching, one of my friends was describing another UFO sighting that he had. He said something along the lines of, I was watching it and it dropped… and literally, immediately after he said that word, dropped, that object that we were currently watching dropped a twinkling light straight down from it that seemed to fall very quickly and disappeared before getting three-quarter the way to the ground.”

California MUFON Field Investigator Hady Felfly closed this case as an Unknown UAV.

In the following case, the witness believes the object is reacting to being watched.

A California witness at Rancho Cordova reported watching a disc-shaped object hovering 20 feet above the ground while others in the area seemed not to notice, according to testimony in Case 83576.

The witness and his fiancé were leaving a restaurant on Folsom Boulevard at Hazel Avenue at 8:30 p.m. on May 4, 2017, when the incident began.

“I spotted the object at about 45-degrees from the horizon in the south,” the witness stated. “The weather was overcast and cloudy with winds from the west at 10-15 mph. When I first saw it, I thought it was a helicopter because of the green flashing lights that at first looked like navigational lights.”

The witness described the object.

“The object had a dark, matte grey or black finish and was silhouetted well against the clouds. It descended to a level where it was obscured by the parking lot tree and then descended to full view across the street. The completely silent object was approximately 60-foot in diameter, saucer-shaped with three white lights on the west facing side and a red glow underneath.”

The object stopped descending and hovered about 20 feet from the ground about 180 feet away from the witness. 

“The object showed no visible signs of propulsion nor did it disturb the vegetation in anyway. At this point my fiancé wanted me to take a picture, so I sent her for my phone in the car. It seems as if the UFO knew she was coming back with a phone because it started moving off as soon as it was in her hand.”

California MUFON Assistant State Director Devlin Rugne investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown UAV.

Here is a case where the witness tried to communicate with the object.

A Canadian witness at Metaghan reported watching a series of cigar or “dumbbell-shaped objects showing no emissions, according to testimony in Case 83637.

The witness was driving towards Yarmouth from Church Point at 8:20 p.m. on May 10, 2017, when she spotted a dumbbell or cigar-shaped object hovering in the southern sky.

The witness noted a difference between these objects and jets.

“The object was significantly larger than a standard jetliner I would normally see in Nova Scotia skies. Nova Scotia is one of the busiest flight paths from international flights reaching US/Canada destinations. The outline of the object was fuzzy and the object(s) themselves were glaringly bright. The shape of the object was cigar-shaped, but with indents in from each respective edge similar to a dumbbell. I felt excited when I saw the objects (enough to call my husband and tell him what I saw!). I said out loud, ‘Hey! I see you! I wonder where you’re from?’ I lost sight of the object(s) when I took my eye off of it (them) as I continued my drive to town.”

Canadian MUFON Field Investigator Paul Bedard investigated this case and closed it as an Unknown Other.

In the following case, the witness believes the object stopped to pose for a photo.

A Florida witness at Cooper City reported capturing a disc-shaped object while taking a photo of the moon, according to testimony in Case 84752.

The witness was in her backyard taking photos of the moon at 10:02 p.m. on July 1, 2017. The woman’s child filed the report for her.
“It sat nicely just beyond the palm trees in her backyard,” the reporting witness stated. “As she focused and snapped the first photo of the moon, she noticed a light zoom into view for a second or less as if the object got into place to be viewed in the photo. This happened so quick that the object appeared for that photo and then disappeared. She did not see any other movements except for the time it zoomed into place. It happened so fast that it was an accident on her part.”

The witness examined the photo.

“After zooming on the photo, I noticed a very bright, white light lining the entire outside edge of what seems to be a disc-shaped object. Also, above the lights you can see a dark, sloping outline and below the lights there seems to be some kind of object protruding out with more lights on it. The object could be upside down. The object seemed to be above the clouds when viewing the photo so it is difficult to guess on the size.”

Florida MUFON Pete Tirado closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

This next case involves a witness who believes the object reacted to it being photographed.

An Ohio witness at Girard reported watching and videotaping a “huge, glowing, disc-shaped craft” hovering over a golf course, according to testimony in Case 85012.

The witness and his family were returning home from shopping at 9:32 p.m. on July 7, 2017.

“This was the second sighting two nights in a row for me,” the witness stated. “Because of the sighting I had the night before, I was being extremely observant of the skies. It was almost dark, but the sun was setting, and the sky was clear with no cloud cover. We turned the corner off Liberty Street that runs parallel with the golf course. As soon as you turn onto this road you have a clear view of the golf course and the skies above it and as soon as I looked up there was a huge glowing, disk-shaped craft just hovering above the golf course.”
The craft was just a short distance from the witness.

“By my estimation it was hovering just above the club house at the time we turned the corner. As we made our way down the street to our house, the craft seem to move closer towards the houses that lined the third hole of the course.”

The witness stopped his vehicle when they reached the school on their right with the craft on their left.

“I immediately froze at first, having been shaken already from the event the night before. I couldn’t believe it was happening again. The size of the craft was huge. Probably about 300 feet long. It was pulsating lights of yellow and red around it and it seemed to make no sound.”

The witness parked his car to inspect the “massive disk-shaped” craft.

“We stood there for about 10 minutes. I took my phone out to get a video because the night before my phone wouldn’t work around the objects and I wanted to try again. This time I was able to get about 18 seconds on video before the craft started to move towards us even more and when it moves overhead of the homes on the course my phone shut down again.”

The object frightened his family.

“This thing scared my daughter and my girlfriend. You can hear them on the video getting scared when it seemed liked the craft was reacting to me filming it. After my phone shut down we got in the car and I took my family home to be safe.”

Ohio MUFON Field Investigator Joseph Pavlansky closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

In this Missouri case, the witness believes the object reacted to the family leaving the sighting scene.

A Missouri witness at Christian County reported watching a “glowing structure that appeared above a house after a flash of three lights, according to testimony in Case 85508.

The events occurred beginning at 9:45 p.m. on July 29, 2017.

“We live out in the country in the Ozark-Rogersville area,” the witness stated. “During the day, a friend and I lit a fire. My friend noticed a plane-like structure off in the distance emitting red lights. The sky was clear with hardly a cloud, but I couldn’t see what she was seeing, even after moving behind her into her field of vision. We laugh about it and moved along. This was approximately 5-6 p.m. Central Time.”
About 9 p.m., the two decided to leave.

“After locking the house and loading the dog into the car, my friend and I sat down in the front seats of the car, ready to start the ignition. I then see a flash of three, bright, white lights in my peripheral vision. They were stacked like a triangle, with two lights on the bottom and one on top. I immediately got out of the car to get closer to the object that appeared after the flash of lights. My friend, on the other hand, told me she was so scared for her life that she didn’t move from her passenger seat in the vehicle.”

The witness described the object they were seeing.

“The object that appeared above the house was about 500 feet from us, and about 50-60 feet up in the air. It was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It appeared hollow, but not like any hollow 3D structure in that I couldn’t detect a definite inside edge. There were bright, white lights on the structure that appeared to glow from the inside out. Initially, I believed it to be helicopter-sized. I started yelling to my friend, ‘What is that?’ That is when this object stopped hovering above the house and changed directions, coming right toward us in our car. It appeared to be getting smaller the closer it got to us, but never smaller than about 15×15 feet. About 50 feet before our car, this object descends down towards us in a U-shape, then corrects itself and gains elevation. At its lowest point in the descent, I thought it might hit our car and I was afraid for my life – it was no more than 30 feet directly above the top of our car. It then regained its initial elevation of maybe 50 feet and disappeared into the tree line at the edge of the property. We immediately turned on the car, pulled out onto the main road and attempted to see it again, but it had disappeared. The most interesting part of this was not only the almost indescribable shape, but that it seemed to know we were leaving the property. It’s very obvious (and terrifying) lurch towards our car was either on purpose (maybe to scare us?) or the result of whatever was operating it losing control of the structure. Either way, this appeared and disappeared out of nowhere with a clear intent that we should see it. Additionally, this object was completely silent and appeared incredibly aerodynamic. It wasn’t inherently malevolent, but also didn’t appear to be particularly friendly or welcoming. I honestly love reading about UFOs, but now that I have actually seen one, I wish I hadn’t. This was a very scary experience.”

Missouri MUFON State Section Director Emmett Reary closed this case as an Unknown – Other.

In November, a Colorado witness felt an intuition to open his vehicle’s moon roof and look up.

A Colorado witness at Aurora reported watching a hovering, triangular-shaped object, according to testimony in Case 88459.
The witness was driving home at 8:55 p.m. on November 30, 2017.

“I had an intuitive sense to open the moonroof in my Acura RDX – specifically to observe the moon – which my son has been tracking for his class studies,” the witness stated. “When I did, I both saw the moon, as well as a low-flying, triangular-shaped object that appeared stationary. I slowed my vehicle and pulled to the side of the road to observe it. I was almost home, and our subdivision is close to both Buckley Air Force Base as well as wide open space east of the Denver-Aurora metro area. At first glance, I believed the object to be one of the many aircraft often sighted over the Air Force base; however, most of those craft fly during daylight hours, and in 13 years in living at this location, I have never observed a craft looking like this one.”

Colorado MUFON Field Investigators Richard Evans and Deborah Evans closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

This Kansas witness states they received “story flashes” from the object.

A Kansas witness near Manhattan reported watching “twin, star-like balls of light in the sky,” according to testimony in Case 88840.

The witness was driving home at 10 p.m. on December 9, 2017.

“I noticed that the left side of my window was full of stars and the right side was a completely clear sky,” the witness stated. “I looked up to my right and saw two, star-like balls of light that were pulsing and hovering in a general vicinity up in the sky. I saw the balls of light had color, but I couldn’t tell what color, due to the distance. The colors were blurred together. A few seconds later the ball of light on the right takes off in a rainbow-curved shape followed by a red-over-blue streak of light. There is a flash of light and the ball was gone leaving only one floating ball of light in the sky. At that point I thought it was a bomb and was waiting for an explosion. When none came I looked harder at the ball of light. It just continued to hover and pulse in the same spot. Eventually it faded with my drive, but each time I went to look for it I always ended up finding it sitting there watching me. During this whole experience I was getting flashes of someone telling me a story and explaining to me how we will soon become a part of that group. I have an idea for a book based on the story I was told during my experience.”

Kansas MUFON Field Investigator Michael McCord closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

And finally, an Oregon witness believes the object knew they were watching and turned on bright red lights.

An Oregon witness at Ontario reported watching a hovering triangle, according to testimony in Case 89165.

The witness was driving to Vale at 9:15 p.m. on December 23, 2017.

“We just passed Ontario Municipal Airport,” the witness stated. “We both at same time looked up above our car, maybe 100 feet up max, as a triangle-shaped craft turned bright red and as if it knew we were looking. It appeared like it was hovering for a split second and then rocketed so fast away from us, like Mach 5 or 6 – it streaked out of sight. This is within a mile or two of Malheur Butte Volcano. We both think this may be somehow related. We both at the same time said, ‘OMG, did you see that?’”

​UFO encounters may be frightening as witnesses observe never-before-seen objects moving in incredible ways. But some sightings are further stressed when the object morphs into different shapes.

Four shape-shifting UFO sightings were listed in the recently-released book, UFO Cases of Interest: 2018 Edition, by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

A New Mexico witness at Albuquerque reported watching a boomerang-shaped object just 500 feet away that hovered and seemed to change shape while moving, according to testimony in Case 82456.

The witness was outside walking north on a lunch break at 12:30 p.m. on March 2, 2017.

“A light gray shape caught my eye,” the witness stated. “The object was approximately 500 feet away, and about 50 feet in the air over a building. At first, I thought it was a flock of birds, and I said, ‘That’s interesting. What kind of birds would those be?’ It seemed to be moving east in a slow flutter. Then it disappeared, like it folded back into the sky.”

The witness thought that was strange.

“It then reappeared in a fat boomerang shape. It seemed to be made up of multiple light gray, possibly reflective objects, but working together, like a school of fish, or sequins on a purse or dress. It did seem to have a common background that was dark gray or black. It was still fluttering, but it paused and hovered and moved backward, just slightly.”

At this point, a bare tree blocked the view, but the witness kept walking to see the object again.

“When I saw the shape again, it had changed. And it seemed to be a soft, billowy, upside down parachute shape, or the bottom of a puffy cloud or a puff of factory smoke. I almost convinced myself it was a deflated weather balloon, but there was no top to the shape, only a distinct bottom. The color of this object seemed to blend with the sky. I could only decipher a dark gray sitting in the bottom of the cloud/parachute.”

Then the object changed again.

“Now it became almost transparent, as if the sun were reflecting on an invisible craft. Now there really is no overall shape that I can make out. I saw a few smaller, very rigid shapes, like flat prisms or solar panels, and they seemed to fold backwards into the object and then the whole object faded away.”

The witness said these events occurred in about 20 – 25 seconds.

An Idaho witness at Idaho Falls reported UFO sightings over a period of time, including a “huge, camouflaged triangle,” according to testimony in Case 88223.

One of those sightings occurred on June 8, 2017.

“I’ve seen quite a few UFOs and think I’ve been possible visited,” the witness stated. “A saucer, a huge, camouflaged triangle, a huge white orb covered the moon and moved across the sky, an orange orb in my backyard and more. All in Idaho Falls area. People just don’t look up.”

Idaho MUFON Field Investigator Scott Thunstrom closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

“Witness reports seeing a massive triangular craft while camping near a lake,” Thunstrom wrote in his report. “Triangle shape, changed direction, changed shape, cast light, hovered, affected cell phone, appeared solid, glowed, reflective, glowing, mist/shroud, larger than aspirin in apparent size, white surface lights, pink/rose exterior lights, red-orange, yellow-orange, and blue surface lights, pulsating lights, no sound, 20 feet or less from witness, lowest altitude at over 500 feet, flight path stationary, unknown direction first and last observed.”

A Fort Rucker pilot reported watching an “oddly-shaped, circular object” hovering over the Alabama army base, according to testimony from Case 84970.

The witness had just finished morning PT (Physical Training) and was standing around talking to two other friends before heading home at 6:45 a.m. on June 15, 2017.

“It was a warm morning with partly cloudy skies,” the witness stated. “The sun was just starting to peak over the buildings around us and was quickly starting to warm the day. At approximately 6:45 am, I observed a UH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopter flying above the tree line approximately a mile from my current location. This is a pretty typical sight as Fort Rucker is home to initial Army flight training.”
As the witness looked up to watch the Blackhawk helicopter, another object was noticed hovering approximately a thousand feet or so above the tree line.

“From my line of sight, the Blackhawk was passing under the object but was much closer to me then the object appeared to be. From where I was standing the object was rather small but taking into consideration the altitude and distance from my location, it had to have been no smaller than the size of an average car. The object omitted a light similar to a star but was not as bright. You could also tell that the object’s color was most likely white or a dull-like color. We knew this was no star because it was below the clouds and appeared to be much closer. The longer we watched it, the less it seemed to have a definitive shape. It appeared to be shifting shapes kind of like a ball of liquid would behave. Almost like a pulsating type behavior.”

None of the three observers could identify the object.

A Missouri witness at Gladstone reported watching a shapeshifting, black craft moving along at the three top level, according to testimony in Case 85100.

The witness and her son were driving southbound along the 6500 block of N. Flora at 9:02 p.m. on July 14, 2017.

“I saw bright lights just under the low-lying clouds as a storm was blowing in,” the witness stated. “They caught my attention as they looked quite low to the ground. I observed two amber lights on each side with a brighter, larger white light in the middle. As we moved forward, my view was obstructed by trees, so I sped up slightly to better my view. The lights had disappeared, but as I scanned the sky looking for them, I noticed a large black object moving slowly directly in front and above my vehicle.”

The witness shouted to her son and pointed in the direction of the object.

“We witnessed the object as it crossed above the road, heading northwest, at the closest point to us being about 20 feet above. We pulled into the parking lot of the elementary school and watched the craft fold in on itself, changing from a black, sphere-like object, to a squared shape, then into a large, disc-shaped craft. It ascended above the tree tops and took up into the clouds. We continued to watch as many as 20-plus sparkling, amber colored lights appear through the clouds exactly where the craft had disappeared. We watched in awe until all the smaller, twinkling lights disappeared.”
