Cases 89087 and 89088: These reports cover two, separate, CE3 events by the same individual: Case 89088 occurred in 1966 when the male witness was just eight years old.  He reported Case 89087 about a 1974 event that “transformed his reality.” Both events took place in Enfield, Connecticut, and in both cases the witness claimed that he had communication with the same occupant(s) or operator(s) of the UFOs.
 
FIRST INCIDENT
 
May 1966; 8 PM
 
Case 89088:  The witness was lying in bed reading a science book about spaceflight.  His bedroom window overlooked a vacant lot of about one-half acre.  He could watch aircraft take off and land at Bradley Field (now Bradley International Airport).  He claims that at that age he was a “model plane builder and aircraft junkie,” and could easily identify various aircraft types. 
 
The following are his comments:
 
“I’m not sure why I looked up from the book, but I saw a craft about 20 feet [off the ground] and perhaps 100 feet away (see sketch).  In a moment, it shrunk to a small red dot, then disappeared.  My next thought was, ‘Where did you go? Are you coming back?’  Somewhere in the back of my head I heard the words, ‘We will be back later.’  Being an impatient eight-year old, I asked, ‘When?’ and got no answer.  I immediately called my parents in, told them what I saw and asked them if they had seen a spacecraft.  My Mom told me there is no such thing and that I must have seen an airplane.  She took the book away and told me she hoped I wouldn’t have any bad dreams.  She was convinced my imagination was working overtime.  My Dad wasn’t so sure.  I checked the window every night for several weeks and saw nothing except airplanes.  I even told some of my friends.  At least they believed me.”
 
The witness described the oval craft as four feet in diameter, having windows, no sound or emissions.  The silver-blue craft descended, hovered, ascended and then simply disappeared.  It had a small, white cupola, and there was a dull orange glow on the bottom of the craft.  The event took approximately five minutes. Case Disposition: Unknown
 
SECOND INCIDENT
 
March 15, 1974; 10:15 PM
 
Case 89087: The following witness testimony tells the whole story:
 
“In mid-March 1974 on a Friday evening around 10:15 PM, I was returning home from a friend’s house.  My Dad and I planned to fly our radio control planes the next morning, so I wanted to get home somewhat early.  I stopped at a three-way intersection near an open field and a farmhouse.  The roads around the area were originally cow paths and wandered through open fields and new developments.  I saw some lights off to my right about 1,000 feet away.  They didn’t seem to be following the natural curve of the road.  I had just got my driver’s license four months earlier, and didn’t want to take any chances, so I waited.  The next instant, I realized this was no car.  It came to within 300 feet of my car at an altitude of 100 feet and hovered.  I was silvery-blue, like steel looks after being exposed to heat.  It had a faint orange glow appearing from its underside [as in Case 89088].  I estimated the craft to be 25 feet in diameter and 10 feet high.  I stared at it for a few seconds and watched it move rapidly towards me at the same height.  I expected to see it outside my driver’s side window as it moved past, but it was gone.  Somehow, I had to find it.  I opened the window, looked straight up, and there it was, right above me.  Its color was now more of a dull silver-red.  I could not see the entire craft, only the first one-third of the circle.  Someone told me to get my head back inside the car and close the window.  I was alone in the car, and no one else was outside.  Then, I noticed a green glow surrounding all the controls of the car.  This glow outlined the shapes for about one-half inch in all directions.  My head was facing forward, but I couldn’t move it to any other position.  The best that I could do was to force my eyes to look down at the clutch, brake and gas pedals.  I was surprised to see the same green glow around them, even though they should have been hidden from any light beam from above by the instrument panel.  I tried to put the car in gear and get away, but I had little movement of my arms and could not move the shift lever more than one inch.

MARCH 5, 2020 – Today, Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen, a NASA Associate Administrator, announced that the Mars 2020 rover will be named Perseverance.  NASA’s next Mars rover won’t just explore the Red Planet; it will be the “first leg of the first round-trip mission” to return Martian soil samples to Earth. Known as the Mars 2020 mission, the upcoming rover will hunt for signs of habitable environments on Mars while searching for signs of past microbial life. According to Space.com, this robotic traveler will also cache a series of samples that can be returned to Earth with a future mission.  Based upon the television announcement today, the return mission will be in about 10 years, making that 2030.
 
How does that work?  A future mission around 2029 would deliver a return rocket to the surface of Mars where a soil sample will have been collected by this Mars rover ( that is, if we can interpret the above literally).  According to the JPL announcement, the return mission will be executed using that rocket launched from Mars with the samples of Martian soil. 
 
Will that mission offer a real payout in terms of discovering microbial life?  Maybe not.  Elon Musk and SpaceX plan to land a manned mission on Mars around 2024.  That means that there will be a human SpaceX astronaut awaiting the arrival of the robotic JPL mission in 2030 (!).  Somehow, I’d say that just won’t happen the way JPL anticipates.  Of course, if the SpaceX mission fails, then the Mars 2030 mission will probably be a successful backup.  We’ll all just have to wait and see.

Case 106561: In the Sea of Japan, off the coast from Tokyo, a UFO was seen by two witnesses who were on night watch (between 12 midnight to 4 AM) aboard a (presumably) US Air Force, ocean-going ship. 1  The UFO (see drawing below) was 40 to 50 feet in diameter and had a height of approximately 20 feet.  There were at least five windows that were emitting a soft-white or smoke-colored glowing light.  It had a coloration of “silver-white-blue.”  According to the report made to MUFON, the UFO came “really close to the ship.“  The UFO then became a USO (Unidentified Submersible Object) entering the ocean at an unspecified speed (!). 2
 
Then, a second UFO is reported to have appeared and followed the USO into the ocean.  After an unspecified period of time, both UFOs emerged from the ocean.  The first UFO was somehow attached to or held by a “magnetic connection” to the second UFO.  According to the report, one (or both) of the objects emitted a “beam” (tractor beam?).   Both then departed in a straight flight path toward the Moon.
 
This report was apparently made by a third party.
