Indiana witness reports low-flying triangle

An Indiana witness at Portage reported watching “two bright lights that were connected to a triangle shape,” according to testimony in Case 94217.

The witness was driving eastbound along Route 20 towards Chesterton at 10:30 p.m. on August 17, 2018.

“I noticed the object was far too low to be a plane and too big to be a drone,” the witness stated. “I thought it was a plane first until I got closer. The object was a bright, white light with a triangle body. It hovered for about two minutes above a local park, then effortlessly glided west to the next town of Lake Station. I was feeling very nervous and curious along with my girlfriend and mother. I started to drive slowly to keep an eye on it and see what it did. Then it started moving slowly and then vanished. Never saw anything like that.”

Indiana MUFON State Director Jeremy Efroymson closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.
